I bought this hat because it was cheaper than other similar hats. It's just a hat, so there isn't much to say about it :-) The product description does miss covering an elastic headband cinch cord which serves to tighten on your head. I thought this was kind of useless until I wore the hat in some wind, and it proved to be very useful keeping it on my head.
Pros:
Water-resistant fabric
Very light material on top
Chin strap ; cinch band keep it on in the wind
Floppy brim helps cover more skin
Cons:
The floppy brim blows up in the wind thus exposing you to the sun. I was paddling against a still headwind for an our and got a nice burn on my forehead where the brim should have been!
The hat allows air flow to help keep my head cool. Big brim keeps the sun off my ears, forehead and neck. The soft hat band wicks away sweat quite well. Easily adjusts to size for a comfy fit. Washes with no change in dimensions.
