Customer Reviews

This hat has a nice texture, color, and look to it. I would like to dig a little deeper, for the sake of anyone looking for an amazing hat.
50% wool, 50% acrylic.
The inside: There is a ring of fleece surrounding the head much like a head band. This layer is thin enough to remain unseen on the exterior (no weird headband bump), but thick enough to add that extra warmth in the areas you want it! The top of the head is the breathable wool part, for sweaty guys like me. Many hats claim to be breathable and whatnot, but the inside ring design + the breathable top part actually works, exactly how I need it to work for outdoor activities (snowboarding).
The "Fit": The fit of the hat is very snug in the way I like it, not snug in the excessive-headache type. As a small disclaimer, I always had to pick the 'large' helmet for intramural hockey, wore a large lacrosse helmet, and I have long hair. In other words, I have a slightly bigger than normal head (25 year old male). That being said, someone with an average size head would probably feel the same snugness that I feel when wearing this hat, just to a slightly lesser degree.
The "Length": This hat wears down past my ears, and hangs just below my eyebrows. It's plenty long, unlike the stylin' hats you find at Hollister that never cover your head they way you want. People wear their beanies differently, so perhaps some people would wear their hat farther back to still show some of their forehead. These people will still be pleased, because the shape of the hat will still follow your head and not stick out like a cone-head. I believe the reason for this is still the thin-top design, allowing for the shape of the hat to easily change with your wear style and head style.
The "Warmth": It's a thin feeling hat, but with that ring around the ears it is deceivingly warm for what it is. And breathable. No complaints here.
The "Durability": This is my only concern. Having such a breathable top part, the thin wool may split in years to come. Since I am unable to assess this hat after owning it for several years, I will still give this a 5-star rating. It's very possible that this hat could be very durable, it just feels thin.
In conclusion: This is simply the best hat I have ever purchased. I get worried when buying clothing/accessories online and not being able to asses the quality first hand. I took a risk for a mere $20, and it paid off. I would recommend this hat to anybody that wants to participate in outdoor activities in the winter, or to any punk kids that want to actually be warm with a nice beanie and still be "thug" with their friends. 5 out of 5 amazon.

Very comfortable. Warm but not excessively so. Looks good on, feels light but still protects nicely with it's discreetly thin inner fleece band. Good sizing on my large but not huge bald head. Snugs down over the ears ; upper neck at full extension and doesn't block sound excessively. The woven pattern and deep green color looks good in person; edge can be rolled up to shorten it to skullcap size and the inner black fleece makes for a nice contrast.
Great beanie for a very reasonable price.
