The old polyester fibers are broken down and re-spun into like-new fleece to keep tots warm when it's cold outside. Compared to developing polyester materials from petroleum, this system reduces energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 80%.

Size listed was not specified in sizing chart. New born is 0-6 months, Infant is 6-18 months. I got infant thinking he wouldnt wear it until he was a few months old. Infant size is huge! Its just most other brands newborn is like 0-3 months. I have no problem with the quality of the item, its cute still just baby cant wear it till next year.
I bought this for my newborn and thanks to previous reviewers I knew I needed to get the newborn size, thus I had no sizing issues. If fit my newborn boy beautifully (he wore it for the first time when he was about 11 lbs.) and it stayed put all the time that we were out with our baby. It is soft and he didn't seem to mind having it on his head, despite the fact that he seldom wears hats. It also kept its shape after washing and drying. When he outgrows it, I will purchase a larger size for next winter.
