Something that is not emphasised enough in the add is the fleece lining inside the hat. When I first saw this item I thought it might be a bit itchy, but to my surprise it is just the opposite. The knitted material is soft enough on it's own, and considering the price I figured the whole hat was nothing more than knitted material with a Carhartt logo to add a few bucks. But, there is a 2.5" fleece liner all around the inside lower portion of the hat, in the area around where it would contact skin. This really made the hat soft and comfortable.
Also, another risk I felt I was taking was the size. I have a larger than normal head and usually don't buy these without trying them on. But this one was a good fit, with room to spare for a larger head.
Highly recommend.
Purchased for my niece who is 14 years old and she loved it. Her Mom loved it too so I'm ordering another one.
