Customer Reviews
This cap is exactly as described in product description. Realize that it is constructed of a thin knit, and therefore not appropriate for snow or "real" cold. However, 5 stars because that's exactly what I thought it would be, and it's perfect for late fall and winter early mornings and eves here on the SE coast (really mild winters). If you live up north, this might be better for spring days, or you may just require something heavier altogether.
Completely covers my son's ears and there are no little "extras" (as with some baby caps) for him to pull on (and thus pull it off). If I put it on properly, he seems not to notice he's wearing it, and that is good news for us, since he is not a fan of hats.
I bought this cap in gray and brown in the 6/12 mo. size-- both match the color displayed on my PC, and fits my large-headed 7 mo. old (around 70th% for head circumference) perfectly, but there is still plenty of stretch. In the case of this cap, if you are in-between sizes and only needing it for one season, I recommend going DOWN a size, since the stretch seems ample and sufficient. My son is presently 19 lbs. and 27.5 inches, and just started wearing 12 mo. clothes, so he is a little on the big side for his age, but not dramatically so.
Stitching is good, seems color-fast, and while we have only washed them twice, there is no noticeable shrinkage.
This hat was exactly what I was looking for. It's a soft, knit hat that will fit under a hooded bunting or sweatshirt. Looks cute all on it's own too. I appreciate the simple design and cute "loved baby" label. I've only washed it once, but so far so good.
I ordered the grey in 6-12 size for my BIG 3 month old. (He's currently wearing 6-9mo clothing.) It is loose now and covers his ears, but still stays on well. Plenty of room to grow into. For more of a "beanie" fit I would need the next size down.
I'm back to order a second hat in green!
